The water

Penstock is a shallow lagoon, clear and full of food, which makes it a premium polaroiding water. The browns cruise the flats and edges where you can see them, so it's fishing that rewards patience and a careful eye.

Because it's small and delicate, it fishes best with a light touch, and I'll help you read the water and pick out the fish.

How we fish it

This is sight fishing at its purest. We move quietly, spot a feeding or cruising brown, and present the fly ahead of it with as little disturbance as possible. The takes are visual and the fishing is absorbing.

Mayfly matters here, and matching the hatch with a good presentation is often the difference. It's fly fishing that asks a bit of you and gives plenty back.

Who it suits

Penstock suits anglers who love the hunt and want to fish for wild browns you can actually see. It's a wonderful place to sharpen your polaroiding and your presentation.
